Singers Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys will be part of the panel of judges on the popular NBC program “The Voice,” joining Adam Levine and Blake Shelto, for the program’s 11th season.
Cyrus, 23, confirmed the news on the weekend on her Twitter account, saying “It’s true!”
“The musical expertise and energy these two incredibly talented women will bring to the show is remarkable,” said NBC Entertainment’s head of alternative and late-night programming, Paul Telegdy, in a statement. “We’re thrilled that they’ll be joining Adam and Blake in what we know will be a magical 11th season.”
Cyrus has made many headlines in recent years as she’s transformed her musical career and her physical appearance since she starred in the syrupy-sweet Disney film “Hannah Montana,” hitting it big as an ever-more-outrageous – if exuberantly fun-loving – international pop star.
Meanwhile, Keys, 35, has made no statement regarding her move to “The Voice,” but NBC obviously tapped the poised Grammy winner for her 15 years of experience in the music industry.
