Jennifer Lopez is back as a judge on the panel for NBC’s upcoming reality competition series ‘World of Dance.’ As executive producer and judge, Lopez, along with the other judges yet to be announced, will focus on evaluating the performances of all contestants who will bring different styles to the stage.
As announced by Lopez herself, she expressed her passion for dance stating:
“It’s emotional, it’s healing, and one organization that has been pivotal to the dance community, is World of Dance. They’ve created a place for artists to express themselves and leave it all out on the dance floor… I am truly excited to announce that I will be partnering with World of Dance and NBC to bring broadcast television’s biggest, fiercest, most talent heavy dance competition ever seen…”
The contestants will be separated into 3 groups from all ages and backgrounds with performers competing for a grand prize of $1 million and title for “Best in the World.” Lopez states that the show will be accepting, “all kinds of dance from ballet, to modern, to ballroom, to hip-hop and everything in between. It’s open to kids, adults, pros, and amateurs.”
World of Dance is a fast-growing dance and music entertainment brand, whose goal is to create a space for creative expression. The organization encourages change through ‘artistry and motion’, as stated on their official website.
