Latino Fashion week celebrates its 8 year in Miami and will tour in the cities of Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami. Founded in 2007, the Latino Fashion It is the only fashion week and tour dedicated to Latino fashion in the U.S., showcasing top Latino designers from Central and South America, the Caribbean and the U.S.
Latino Fashion Week is a multi-day branded entertainment environment providing opportunities for fashion designers and sponsors to come face-to-face with primary Latino celebrities, musical talent, media and consumers. Latino Fashion Week is not just a fashion show. It is a movement; “By Latinos, For Everyone.”
In its 8 year in Miami the event exemplifies those in the fashion industry that continuously push the boundaries of excellence. My Lifestyle Magazine is profiling 3 of the designers that showcasing their new collections.
The 2016 Latino Fashion Week was an immense event in which everyone had a great time.
Other enticing aspects of 2016 Latino Fashion Week include the Images of Fashion Exposition, which honors fashion photographers and videographers, and the Shoppers Fashion Lounge and Expo, a shopping event where attendees can purchase clothing from the week’s runway shows.
Participants who have lent their talent to Latino Fashion Week include model Chantell Perez, Fashion designers like #Ismaeldelacaridad, #claudioMilano #Gabrielapirez y por supuesto nuestro fashion photographer Alejandro Lozano To Mylifestyle Magazine.
Each year the Latino Fashion Week spectacle starts with a kickoff red carpet media reception and finishes with VIP celebrity parties at the end of the week.
The array of talent was refreshing to see in a city not known for its fashion statements. Personally my favorite part of the kickoff event was not the runway but rather the talented designers that were flown from Cuba, Brazil Israel.
The fashion show started with a celebrity runway walk, featuring anchors and television reporters from the local NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox Latino and Univision and of course could not miss our managing editor Carlos Anaya.
Some designers were better than others. The best designs for me, were by Ismael De Las Caridad; His collection is a reflection of Religious glamour.
His designs were a perfect fit for any modern day Bright red lips, were adorned by the models. Silk whites, beige lace and ruffles fabrics wrapped tightly into dresses with pearl shaped Victorian collars costume jewelry as the consistent accessory. he updated the elegant, classic look with the cut loose and fit, making them marvelous and edgier.
Their challenge for Mevato was to create an experience that would get more event attendees sharing their love for fashion on social media while also sharing the Latino Fashion Week mission to raise funds and create awareness for great causes. company that got envolve to help with their social media efforts.
The show displayed several seeds of talent. Talent that in my opinion has the opportunity to take most of the designers to the next level. Events like this may even raise Miami’s profile in the fashion industry.
