THE THIRD EDITION OF ‘THE FLAME’ FESTIVAL’

World Music Boutique Productions in collaboration with Jazz Standard and Spain Culture NY (Consulate General of Spain in NY) invites you to THE THIRD EDITION OF ‘THE FLAME’ FESTIVAL’, the only Jazz-Flamenco festival ever introduced in the United States. The continuous evolution of Jazz music blending with all kinds of world music sounds has also touched upon the traditions and roots of Flamenco. ‘The Flame Festival’ provides a unique showcasing space in the US for this new hybrid of musical fusion allowing local audiences to discover and enjoy this ever-growing genre while building strong cultural bridges.

‘The Flame Festival’ takes place on Wednesday November 16th with a unique line-up: Opening the festival with the first set (7:30pm) Madrid born and NY resident vocalist and composer Rebeca Vallejo will be showcasing a powerful performance based on her ancestral Flamenco roots, her deep love and understanding of Brazilian music, with the language of Jazz. The second set (9:30pm) closes this year’s festival with a headliner extraordinaire, a duo performance by Latin Grammy nominee Chano Dominguez, featuring bassist Alexis Cuadrado. Chano Dominguez is the father of the Flamenco-Jazz movement, award winning and worldwide musical phenomenon who has worked with legends such as Paco de Lucía.
