Photo-sharing social network, Instagram, announced that it will stop sorting photos and videos on its feed in chronological order, and intends to show highlights of the most relevant content for each user.
The website, now owned by Facebook, is ending the chronological order in customizing the posts on the feed, putting focus on “the moments you care about first”.
Since its establishment five years ago, Instagram has shown contents under the sole criterion of chronological order, except for adverts.
With this change, which will gradually be implemented in the coming months, Instagram will no longer take into account the time factor for choosing what is relevant, following the same style of Facebook feed.
