Jennifer Lopez still seeks a marriage that will last a lifetime

U.S. singer and actress Jennifer Lopez confessed she would love to wed again and have a marriage that lasts a lifetime, despite her three divorces.

“It’s always been a dream of mine, to grow old with somebody… to have a marriage that lasts, until we both die, like in ‘The Notebook’ (2004),” the actress laughed this Monday during an interview on the program “Watch What Happens Live,” which airs in the U.S. on the Bravo channel.

The star of the “Shades of Blue” series married for the first time in 1997 with Cuban waiter Ojani Noa, only to get divorced the next year. After that breakup, the singer was engaged to rapper Puff Daddy for two years before it was over.

J.Lo tied knot No. 2 in September 2001 with choreographer and actor Criss Judd. That one didn’t last long either, winding up in a divorce court in 2003. Late in the year 2002, Lopez began a relationship with actor Ben Affleck, but their formal engagement never matured into wedlock.

Her third and up to now the last wedding was in June 2004 with Puerto Rican singer Marc Anthony, with whom she had two children, Max and Emme. That was her longest, most stable relationship to date. After she and the singer split, Lopez started going out with one of her dancers, the choreographer Casper Smart.

Asked when Casper Smart is likely to ask for her hand in marriage, the actress said they don’t really discuss that subject but nonetheless “we’re happy right now. The kids are great, he’s great. Everything is great right now.”

During the interview, J.Lo also touched on other subjects and said she didn’t feel the Kardashian sisters could displace her as the best booty in showbiz.

“No, I feel like I paved the way for them. There’s plenty of room for all of the ass!” Lopez said with a giggle. She also mentioned on the show that she always shaves her legs and has never smoked marijuana.
