There’s still time to brush up on this year’s fall fashion trends you can feel fabulous and confident in once you strut down the streets of New York City. It’s time to freshen up your wardrobe with a whole new look. Here are the styles we think you should include in your fall 2017 collection.

  1. Cashmere Everything

During this month’s fashion week debut, designers like Calvin Klein showed us exactly how it’s done with the new Fall 2017 collection. From cashmere dresses, to cardigans, and turtle necks, an important fashion statement was implied: It is back in style.

  1. Coats to Stack Your Closet With

This year you are looking at leather styles and trench coats making a comeback. You can go for the cozy and classy fall style, or the edgy-biker look. To find some inspiration, look at Michael Kors Fall 2017 collection which showcased a variety of fall coat styles you are guaranteed to fall in love with. Fur, leopard print, and super-sized shearling was also a popular choice this year.

  1. Boots and Shoulder Sacks

Always a must-have no matter what rule applies! Over the knee and ankle boots are keepers every year and the color schemes are similar in every designer’s collection. Whites, browns, blacks, and burgundies are high in demand. Suede and leather boots were exceptionally popular on the runway during New York Fashion Week. Shoulder sacks were combined with all cozy fall styles as well.

  1. Fringe and Glitter Styles

Fringe dresses, skirts, and glitter styled looks should be on your list of must-haves this year! This fun and flirty style is great for a night out in the big apple – especially when heading off to a large party extravaganza. If you want to look your best and better than everyone else during cocktail hour, these styles are the best way to go. Take a look at fashion designers Marchesa and Julien Macdonald’s collection for inspiration!

  1. Plaids and florals

This year’s floral looks were combined with vibrant colors and romantic vibes. Neutral Plaid also made it to the runway at NYFW. Fashion designer Prabal Gurung’s fashion show showcased these dark and colorful floral styles in the form of coats, skirts, and dresses for the fall. Marc Jacobs neutral plaid coats were designed with fancy furred collars.
