The virtual reality, or VR, firm Oculus, owned by Facebook, is offering shipping refunds on all preorders of its devices following delayed arrivals, reported the BBC on Monday.
According to the British broadcaster, the preordered VR headsets were supposed to arrive on March 28 but many customers are still waiting, so the firm decided to offer free shipping to all preorders.
“First set of Rifts are going out slower than we estimated, so we’re giving free shipping for all preorders, including international,” said Chief Executive of Oculus, Brendan Iribe, on his Twitter account.
The firm has blamed the issue on an “unexpected component shortage” and said customers should receive updated news on their orders by April 12.
