RedOne: New Lady Gaga tracks include at least one Grammy-worthy song

The tracks Lady Gaga has laid down in preparation for her first studio album since 2013 include at least one Grammy-worthy song, producer RedOne said here in an interview.
The pair that combined on hits such as “Just Dance” and “Poker Face” are working together again.

“We have recorded around eight songs, but I don’t know their future, because she is still searching for the album’s exact direction,” RedOne said of the new Gaga material. “Four of those songs are very powerful, and one is a Grammy song, very special.”

Meanwhile, the 44-year-old Moroccan is keeping busy with the launch of his own debut single, “Don’t You Need Somebody,” with a big assist from his friend, soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Cristiano is a great man and friend, with a big heart,” RedOne told. “As soon as he listened to the song, he said he’d participate in the video. In fact, he was the first and the easiest one to work with.”

“Other artists ask you who else is going to make an appearance,” RedOne said. “Not him (Ronaldo), he has a lot of confidence in himself. If he likes something, he does it.”
Before becoming ace producer RedOne, Nadir Khayat pursued a career as a singer.

“I always wanted to sing. I began playing with groups in Sweden,” he said. “I had lots of music in my head and I wanted to share it. I thought that if I focused on production, it would be much easier.”
