While performing onstage during the Meadows & Music Arts Festival in New York City on Sunday Night, Kanye West abruptly ended his concert early stating there was a, “family emergency.” According to recent reports and videos posted on Twitter, Kanye West was performing “Heartless” when he suddenly stopped midway stating, “I’m sorry… I have a family emergency. I have to stop the show.” Soon after he left the stage, the Meadows team released a statement confirming the end of West’s performance for the evening.

This cancellation happened as soon as West learned his wife Kim Kardashian West had been held at gunpoint in her Paris Hotel Room. According to her spokesperson, Kardashian West is “badly shaken but physically unharmed.” The 35 year old reality star, was reportedly tied up and locked in her bathroom while, “two armed masked men dressed as police officers,” proceeded to rob two cellphones and jewelry worth millions of dollars.
Kardashian West is currently in France for Paris Fashion Week, with sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner, including her mother Kris Jenner, reports CNN. Law enforcement is investigating the robbery. Fortunately, Kardashian West is safe and no one was injured during this traumatic incident.
